The Flaming Lips celebrated a big anniversary with Miley Cyrus this weekend.
Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd took the stage with the pop star Saturday night, exactly 30 years after the Lips made their live debut at the Blue Note Lounge in Oklahoma City.
For their special appearance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, they teamed up with Miley for a new rendition of their 2003 hit "Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots, Part One."
Cyrus introduced Coyne and Drozd by telling her screaming fans that it's hard to explain just how important the Flaming Lips are to her.
Coyne recently returned the love in a "Rolling Stone" interview, explaining that he likes that Miley seems to be having more fun than any other pop star out there now.
