(Cleveland)- An Independence man will appear in court Thursday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in his carry-on bag for a flight out of Hopkins Airport.
Cleveland Police arrested 61-year-old James Forcina after TSA agents found a loaded .380 caliber gun in his bag for a flight to Detroit.
Forcina told officers he goes into bad neighborhoods for his job.
Weapons are not allowed in carry on baggage. You can be fined up to $11,000 for bringing prohibited items to the airport. Unloaded Guns in checked baggage are allowed as long as it's declared. It also needs to be packed in a hard case and locked.
