WTAM's Mike Snyder will sit in on NBA draft lottery

(Cleveland)- Two lucky Cavs fans plan to bring their positive mojo to New York City after being selected to travel to ABC’s Disney Times Square studios with Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert and his son nick tonight for the 2013 NBA draft lottery.

Gerry Burma of Brecksville and Tate Moore of Wadsworth will be part of the Cavaliers traveling party to the big apple where the lottery will determine. WTAM 1100 Sports Director Mike Snyder as well as rapper Machine Gun Kelly will also be there.

The winners were selected through two separate platforms; one for Cavs Wine & Gold United members, the exclusive club for all Cavs season ticket holders, and the second via a social media call to action from @cavsdan (Dan Gilbert’s official twitter handle).

A very special benefit of Wine & Gold United membership was realized by Burma when all members were automatically entered to win the random drawing for the trip. “I’m surprised, shocked, and very excited about attending. If this is what wine & gold united is all about-you’ve made me a believer!” Said Burma, who joined wine & gold united during the past season.

Last Friday, may 17th, Gilbert put out the call to his @cavsdan twitter followers to produce and tweet a :30 second or less original video that creatively expressed why they should travel with him to New York for the lottery proceedings and help represent the cavaliers. @roytatemoore did just that with a winning submission that demonstrated his positive karma to prove that he is “one lucky dude.” “I am so excited and thankful for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to be a part of this night and help represent the cavaliers with Dan and Nick,” said Moore.

The Cavs currently have one lottery pick (could be as high as #1, but no lower than #6) in the draft, plus an additional first round pick (#19 overall), and two of the first three picks in the second round (#31 and #33 overall), giving the Cavs four of the top 33 picks. The Cavs have a 15.6-percent chance of landing the top pick in the June draft. To stay connected to all Cavaliers news, visit cavs.com.
