(Cleveland) -- So, what kind of a Winter do we need to prepare ourselves for in Cleveland? In Northeast Ohio we've had everything from a few feet of snow to sunshine and 60 degrees in January and February so we're prepared for anything Mother Nature has planned for us.
WKYC Meteorologist Marcus Walter has a challenging job, predicting weather forecasts for the city of Cleveland. Walter says meteorologists look at a few indicators when forecasting weather, one of those is the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO), and he says Lake Erie plays a big part in changing forecasts.
Walter says he's seeing an equal chance for an above normal or below normal Winter in terms of precipitation and in terms of temperature. Walter says everything seems to be happening at a normal rate this year, so we shouldn't have an early Spring, but we won't have a late Spring either.
