Flood-ravaged communities schedule extra trash pickups for residents

(Cleveland) If your basement flooded in this week's storms, and you live in one of these communities, there will be extra trash pickups and bins to get rid of your excess debris.

North Olmsted will have Republic Services pick up items on Saturday.

Avon Lake residents can call 1-800-433-1309 Saturday to have Republic Services pick up their trash, or they can take it to a bin located in the parking lot south of the boat club on Lake Road.

Cuyahoga Falls will pick up bulk items and excess debris on residents' regular trash days Monday through Friday.  Yard waste has to be in bags, brown carts or bundles of brush or limbs.

In Stow, residents can bring trash to three commercial bins through Thursday. The bins are located in the Stow City Hall parking lot, the Stow Fire Station No. 2 parking lot on Hudson Drive, and the Kidstation playground parking lot on Fishcreek Road. Only Stow residents can deposit trash there.

Silver Lake will have Saturday trash pickup.
