Lakewood murder victim identified

(Lakewood) - The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has identified the woman found dead in a Lakewood apartment last week.

55-year-old Pamela Jo Feidl was found in a closet last Thursday at 13531 Detroit Avenue, Apt. #C22.

Lakewood Police arrested 53-year-old Johnny Johnson later that day.

On Thursday, September 5th, at 10:00AM the Lakewood Police Department responded to a report of a missing person. Officers found Feidl in the closet of the apartment.

She had not been seen by friends since approximately August 20th. On August 30th the apartment building manager contacted the Lakewood Police Department. He had not seen Feidl for some time and had been taking care of her cat in the apartment.

Officers responded and found the apartment neat and orderly except for the cat which had defecated and urinated throughout the apartment. Feidl was not located and the manger reported he would continue to look after the cat.

On September 4th a friend of Feidl responded to the Lakewood Police Department and filed a missing person report on the resident. She had known medical and substance problems. Checks were made with the hospitals and any known friends without success. Feidl was entered into NCIC as a missing person.

As part of the missing person investigation officers responded to the apartment on the 5th and located her in the apartment closet.

Information was developed on a male that had been seen with Feidl prior to her being reported missing. That male had been in Lakewood Hospital and Lutheran Hospital for medical treatment for about 10 days. He was released from Lutheran Medical Center on September 5th.

Further information and leads were developed that resulted in an arrest warrant for murder being issued for Johnny Johnson of 2121 West 117 Street in Cleveland. Johnson was arrested on that warrant later on the 5th in Maple Heights.

The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification responded to the scene and processed it for evidence.
