(Lorain County) - Our brutal winter weather has not kept two northeast Ohio golfers from enjoying the links. Jim Hayden and Jim Kessler play 9 rounds of golf each and every month, and have been doing so for nearly 4 years.
They started out at Pinebrook Golf Course in the spring of 2010 and now play at Creekwood Golf Course, both in Lorain County.
Hayden of North Ridgeville says this winter has been very challenging, especially in February. Many of the pins were frozen, and there was snow between the holes. They lost a few balls in snowdrifts.
Hayden claims the winter weather didn't affect his score that much, but admits he had to adjust his play because the ball doesn't travel as far in the cold and snow. For the first time in 4 years they were not able to putt on every green.
Hayden reports the management of Creekwood has been very cooperative, allowing them to pursue their love of golf through good weather and bad.
